Add a new service – Upgrade to Fibre | MATE

If you are an existing MATE customer, you can use our self-care portal or myMATE app to Upgrade to Fibre, provided your address is eligible.

For specific information about the benefits of upgrading to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), refer to our Fibre Upgrade pages for Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Curb (FTTC).


Upgrade to Fibre using the myMATE app (best on mobile devices)

Use your account number (what we like to call your MATE code) to log in to our myMATE app.

Our myMATE app is best if you’re using a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. It’s available for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded on your device using the links below:

If you have forgotten or don’t know your app password, you can use the password recovery function in the app.

 

Once you’re logged in, simply click “add new service” and follow the prompts.

When prompted, select “NBN”, and hit “Next”.

If you have an eligible address for a fibre upgrade, it will show here. Select “Upgrade to Fibre”, and hit “Next”.

Proceed through the rest of the steps and confirm your fibre upgrade.


Upgrade to Fibre using the self-care portal (best on desktop)

Use your account number (what we like to call your MATE code) to log in to our self-care portal.

Our self-care portal is best if you’re using a desktop device like a computer or laptop.

If you have forgotten or don’t know your self-care password, you can use the password recovery function.

Once you’re logged in, simply click the “add a new service” option and follow the prompts to submit your order.

In the Upgrades section, ensure you select the “Upgrade to Fibre” option.
