Our nbn internet pricing is changing

At MATE, we constantly strive to provide the best possible value and service to our customers.

Unfortunately, due to an increase in wholesale costs charged to us by nbn, we need to adjust the pricing of our internet plans. For more information, see here.

We understand that this is not welcome news, especially given the current economic climate and the pressures of the rising cost of living.

As a proud Aussie business competing against the giant telcos, we strive to balance providing the best possible value to our customers while ensuring we remain financially sustainable and can continue to service you into the future.

This price adjustment also means we can keep investing in our internet network. Over the past 18 months, we have built out a national footprint of access to the nbn network to provide our customers with the best possible experience at a value-for-money price.

What’s changing?

The retail prices for the following MATE nbn internet plans will increase by $5 per month:

  • Crikey nbn 25/10: $70
  • Ripper nbn 50/20: $80
  • No Dramas nbn Wireless: $80
  • No Worries nbn 100/20: $90
  • You Beaut nbn 100/40: $100
  • Fair Dinkum nbn 250/25: $115

For existing MATE customers, the updated pricing will take effect starting from your October billing period. Any promotional discount applied to your account will continue to apply until the end of the applicable period.

What stays the same?

  • You can still save $10 per month on internet when you bundle a mobile plan with MATE – use our self-care portal or myMATE app to add services to your account.
  • We are proud to be 100% Australian-owned and operated and we continue to provide support through our local call centre, supporting Australian jobs.
  • We continue to offer great value 4G and 5G mobile plans on the Telstra Wholesale Network.
  • We remain committed to no lock-in contracts and no plan change fees on all plans.
