If your premises is serviced by nbn™️ Fibre to the Node (FTTN) technology, we can’t confirm your maximum speed up to the nbn™️ Network Boundary Point until we connect your service.
Why? This type of nbn™️ service uses existing copper telephone line infrastructure for the final part of the nbn™️ connection to your home – any services that use copper infrastructure have a physical limitation when it comes to the maximum speed available on the connection.
On nbn™️ FTTN speeds experienced may be lower due to various factors including the maximum available line sync rate, your in-home setup and equipment and your internal wiring.
Once your internet service is active, we will run a line state test with nbn™️ to ensure that your speeds are within specifications. If there are any issues, we will contact you via email within the first month of service.
Please be advised that any maximum line rate provided represents the maximum connection speed available if your internet service is operated in perfect conditions.
