Generally, as long as your landline number is ACTIVE with another provider, we should be able to transfer (port) this number.
Please note that the transfer (porting) process for an existing landline telephone number can take anywhere between 2 – 6 weeks to complete and this process only commences once your nbn internet service has been activated with MATE.
You MUST keep your landline phone number ACTIVE with your current provider until you have been notified by us that the port has completed.
If your landline phone number is cancelled or disconnected by your current provider either before or during the porting process, we will be unable to complete the port and you will not be able to keep your landline phone number.
Once activated, the use of an nbn Phone service (VoIP) with MATE requires a compatible VoIP device/modem. Please note that we do not offer support for configuring BYO VoIP devices.
