Once you have successfully authorised the transfer of your mobile number to MATE, you just need to wait for the order to complete.
The transfer order can take up to 24 hours to complete.
DO NOT PUT THE MATE SIM CARD IN YOUR PHONE JUST YET! Your existing SIM card with your current provider will continue to work until the activation is completed.
If the transfer is successful
Once the transfer has successfully been completed:
- The SIM card with your previous mobile provider will stop working;
- You should receive an SMS and email from MATE confirming the activation.
When this occurs, you can place the new MATE SIM card in your phone and turn your phone on.
If the transfer is rejected
If the transfer fails, you will receive a notification but don’t panic!
The most common reason why the transfer of your mobile number from another provider fails is due to a mismatch between the information provided to us and that held by your current provider.
