what speeds can I achieve on nbn™️ Fibre to the Curb (FTTC)?

If your premises is serviced by nbn™️ Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) technology, we can’t confirm your maximum speed up to the nbn™️ Network Boundary Point until we connect your service.

Why? This type of nbn™️ service uses existing copper telephone line infrastructure for the last part of the nbn™️ connection to your home – any services that use copper infrastructure have a physical limitation when it comes to the maximum speed available on the connection.

On nbn™️ FTTC speeds experienced may be lower due to various factors including the maximum available line rate, your in-home setup and equipment and your internal wiring.

On a Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) service, nbn™️ currently guarantees speeds of 25Mbps download. In the future, the minimum speed guarantee will be increased to 50Mbps download.

Please be advised that any maximum line rate provided represents the maximum connection speed available if your internet service is operated in perfect conditions.
